 What is the RTO area?

This area is the RPL Central® equivalent of the 'assessment centre', and is where certified RTO assessors work with individual clients to assist them in attaining a National Qualification.

RTO's are required to meet a set of national standards, which include assessment of RPL skills. An RTO needs to have a process for recognising prior learning and for ensuring that all staff and stakeholders understand the RPL process.
 
RPL Central® provides a means for RTO's to meet their statutory expectations in terms of acknowledging recognition of prior learning with the students.

RPL Central®'s 'RTO Area' enables RTO's to access and assess a client's portfolio (that they have entered through the RPL Wizard®) and to advice them as to whether:

  1. Their evidence meets the criteria for a qualification, or
  2. They require further evidence, and should complete a 'SkillsGap' challenge assessment to establish their next steps.
    RTO's may also enter this area in 'Audit Mode' when they are undergoing an audit and need to locate prior RPL Assessments.
