What is the AQF?

The AQF is the Australian Qualifications Framework. It brings together all of Australia's qualifications into one framework encompassing all sectors of education and training. It includes qualifications available from the vocational education and training (VET), school and the higher education (university) sectors. It is an Australia wide system.

The Framework links together all of these qualifications and is a 'highly visible, quality-assured national system of educational recognition'.

The AQF's aim is to promote 'lifelong learning and a seamless and diverse education and training system'.
